Hello dear friends!
Every John and his dog heard that internet marketing rocks and the money is in the list. So everyone started to build a mailing list...
"Hey, my name is John Doe, an internet marketer you never heard about, but that is not supposed to be a problem. To tell you the truth, I don't have a clue on anything related to internet marketing, but hey, that is not supposed to be a problem too. Subscribe to my newsletter where I'll teach you ... nothing and you'll find some worthless information. Actually, I just want to send you some darn emails I copied from other people and I'm expecting you to click on my affiliate links so that to I can make some easy money."
You didn't read something like this by now, did you? If they tell you the truth, you won't subscribe to their "newsletter", will you? So ... another way was invented ...
We don't like the truth, do we?  So ...
"Last week I made $10k by doing almost nothing (That's not true, but you don't know that, do you?) Subscribe to my newsletter to get the ebook where I explain to you in detail how I made that amazing amount of money without knowing anything ..."
How was this one? This time it's very similar to texts you can read on a few squeeze pages, right? However, most of the squeeze pages are not like that but ...
"Download the ebook X and find out exactly how I ... bla bla bla. Enter your email and get the ebook now!"
This last one is the simple text you can find on most of the squeeze pages. Simple & effective, right?
WRONG! Once they start sending you their sales pitches or whatever they will send (except for the link to that ebook download page) that is SPAM.
Read once again the text from the squeeze page. You were requested to give them the email address for the purpose of sending you that ebook. Nothing more, nothing less.
You know what? I'm sick of liars & idiots! I don't really need all the crappy ebooks that are given away out there. But from now on if I'm curious what's in a certain ebook and the squeeze page contains a similar CHEATING text, I won't unsubscribe anymore from that mailing list. Why unsubscribing from a list I never subscribed to? No. I will do what everyone has to do in a similar situation: I will report as spam any email message coming from that so called internet marketer except for the one containing the link to the download page.
Let's clean the room! Do the same!
