2. Editor's Corner: Internet Marketing TIP of the Week

Hello dear friends!
This week I have another article marketing tip for you...
Some marketers submit their articles to article directories in order to get direct traffic. Others submit them in order to get backlinks to their website. The third and last category includes marketers who want both backlinks & direct traffic.
If your main target is the direct traffic, then you should take care of the following fact: the really important directories (the ones that have visitors) can be divided in 2 simple categories - good & bad. If you submit the articles to bad directories, you waste your time.
How do you know whether a directory is bad or not?
Open any article page and check what is between the body of the article and author's resource box. If the resource box comes right after the article, it's fine. However, there are some directories where between those important parts there are ads (usually AdSense ads). Those are the bad directories. Why? The goal of any reader is the article, not the resource box. Usually readers are looking to solve a problem, they are not interested in resource boxes. So ... once the article is read, usually nobody is searching for author's box. If it is under their nose (right after the article), they reader may look at it. If it is not there ... article's author has a problem. Most probably the reader will click on the targeted AdSense ads. That's why they are placed there by the owner of the directory.
Conclusion: If you're looking for direct traffic, don't waste your time submitting articles to article directories where ads are inserted between your article and your resource box.
All the best to you and yours,
Adrian Jock
