Hello dear friends!
This week I have another email marketing tip for you...
Some internet marketers are afraid of unsubscribes and make the process difficult. Example: instead of an unsubscribe link, sometimes you can see a notice mentioning that if you want to unsubscribe then you need to terminate your membership with the program "X".
This is a very big mistake. If the subscriber decides to unsubscribe, let her or him unsubscribe immediatelly. Quickly and easy. Otherwise, it's not difficult for that subscriber to click on the button "Report Spam". The more people click on such buttons, the poor your IP reputation will be.
I can hear some people saying, "I don't know what IP reputation is, I'm no a tech person and I don't want to be. I publish great content and this is what I focus on".
Well, let's make it crystal clear for anyone: once your IP reputation is poor, the deliverability of your emails will be the same and many subscribers will NOT receive your newsletters. In such situation does it matter how great your newsletter is? You don't have to be a tech person to understand a simple thing: no one can read an email that is not received.
Conclusion: Make the unsubscribe process easy. It won't cost you anything. But if you don't do it, it may cost you a lot.
